The Golden Circle from Keflavik Airport is a private tour for up to 8 persons. This tour is an essential part of the Icelandic tourist experience and one of the most popular attraction in Iceland. Visiting the Golden Circle is a great way to start your trip in Iceland.

The tour starts with a visit to the world-renowned Þingvellir national park, where Althingi, the world’s first extant parliament, was founded. The North American and Eurasian tectonic plates also meet here and the divide is visible to the naked eye. Here, you can literally stand between two continents.

After Þingvellir we will move on to Haukadalur, where a number of excellent hot springs can be seen. You’ll have the chance to see Geysir, the spring that inspired the name ‘geyser’. After a lunch of local specialities, we will take a short drive to the waterfall known as Gullfoss (meaning Golden Waterfall). Gullfoss is widely regarded as a highlight of any trip to Iceland, and is one of the most powerful waterfalls in Europe.

Next up you’ll see a more modern side to Iceland at Friðheimar. This greenhouse uses renewable energy to help grow various vegetables, and it is hoped that techniques such as those exhibited here will help to reduce fossil fuel use.

Our final stop will be at Kerið, a volcanic crater. Here, we’ll see real local farms and some of Iceland’s famously beautiful horses before heading home to end the tour.

Feel free to take your luggage with you on the tour if you want to be dropped off at the airport.

If you are being picked up at the Airport we kindly ask you to wait outside where all the taxi’s are. Pick up at the airport is 15 minutes before regular pick up time. Got some luggage? No worries we have plenty of space so you can bring your luggage with you. After the tour we can drop you off at your hotel or take you back to the airport.
